NATURE'S WAY

This land has always constituted a crossroads of cultures, a place where East meets West, and the cultural remnants of its heritage remain as fascinating as ever. The unique identities and flavors of the country’s different regions offer an incredible range of experiences for every traveler under the sun.

The same can be said about BiH’s nature, as the country’s dramatically varying landscapes puts nearly every imaginable adventure escapade on its outdoor menu. There are lush valleys, rare primeval forests, green mountain lakes and raging, crystal clear rivers. The Dinaric Alps mountain range that passes across the center of the country causes the warm Adriatic temperatures of Herzegovina to clash with the sometimes severe Alpine winds of Bosnia, producing one of the most diverse and unique ecosystems in all of Europe.

BiH has countless charming towns and hamlets, as well as several major cities, each with a distinct personality and draw, and none lacking in beauty and excitement. In the capital city Sarajevo, there is always a festival (or two) going on. The Sarajevo Film Festival has become the city’s cultural trademark, hosting the largest film fest in the wider region. Bosnia’s most vibrant city is a perfect melange of western and oriental flavours. Banja Luka, BiH’s second largest city, is a hotspot for great nightlife and live music. Mostar, well known for the UNESCO World Heritage Site Stari Mostar (the Old Bridge) and Trebinje, are two gems of Herzegovina, beautifully curated cities suited to their sunny Mediterranean climate.
